The Gallery Clear Tape System
Three simple components make up the Clear Tape System.
TRACK: Strong aluminum track, in anodized (metallic silver color) or white finish, which screws into the wall. Tracks come in two meter (6.5 ft.) lengths and can easily be cut to fit shorter spaces.
HANGERS: Clear polypropylene tapes hang from the track to support the pictures and slide easily to any position along the track. Hangers come in packs of 10 locking capsules which grip the tape in the track, together with a roll of clear tape which can be cut to the desired lengths. There will be more tape than you need in the roll, so you will have a reserve supply.
HOOKS: Fully adjustable hooks that fit onto the hanging cables and adjust up or down:
- Classic hooks lock firmly in place using the key provided
- Security hooks lock firmly in place using the key provided; locking arm closes hook to prevent snatch and run art theft
All hooks come in packs of 10.
In addition, a wood moulding is an option to suit a more traditional decor. It fits over, and covers, the track. Wood moulding comes in 2 meter lengths.
How strong is it? Recommended weight on one tape is 33 pounds. You may hang more than one picture on each tape hanger. Recommended weight on one hook is 22 pounds. Pictures up to 45 pounds can be supported with two hooks.
