The Moulding Hooks System
The Gallery Moulding Hook System is designed for people who want the strength and flexibility of a Gallery Stainless Steel Cable System but want to use their own picture rails rather than the Gallery System track and track slide.
It includes high quality, solid brass or stainless steel moulding hooks, with stainless steel cable hangers that work beautifully with your existing picture rail to give a traditional look to a modern hanging system. The improved design of the moulding hook positions the stainless cable close to the wall, allowing the pictures to sit at the proper angle rather than leaning forward as with some moulding hooks. Moulding hooks are clear coated to prevent tarnishing.
Two simple components make up the Moulding Hook System:
HANGERS: The same cable as the Stainless Steel Cable System, but with a heavy, solid brass or stainless steel moulding hook to fit over your own picture rail. Moulding hooks and cables come in packs of five and are suitable for use with our Classic, Self-Gripping, or Security picture hooks.
HOOKS: Fully adjustable picture hooks that fit onto the hanging cables and adjust up or down:
- Classic hooks lock firmly in place using the key provided
- Self-gripping hooks don't need a key; they lock in place when a push-button is released.
- Security hooks lock firmly in place using the key provided; locking arm closes hook to prevent snatch and run art theft
All hooks come in packs of 10.
How strong is it? Recommended weight on one cable is 66 pounds. You may hang more than one picture on each cable hanger. Recommended weight on one hook is 44 pounds. Pictures up to 90 pounds can be supported with 2 hooks.
