The Gallery Stainless Steel Cable System
Three simple components make up the Stainless Steel Cable System.
TRACK: Strong aluminum track, in anodized (metallic silver color) or white finish, which screws into the wall. Tracks come in two meter (6.5 ft.) lengths and can easily be cut to fit shorter spaces.
HANGERS: Stainless steel cables which hang from the track to support the pictures and slide easily to any position along the track. Hangers come in packs of 10 cables in 2 meter (6.5 ft.) lengths along with 10 track slides, which hold the cable in the track. Cable diameter is only 1.2mm so the system is still unobtrusive. Longer lengths can be ordered.
HOOKS: Fully adjustable hooks that fit onto the hanging cables and adjust up or down:
- Classic hooks lock firmly in place using the key provided
- Self-gripping hooks don't need a key; they lock in place when a push-button is released.
- Security hooks lock firmly in place using the key provided; locking arm closes hook to prevent snatch and run art theft
All hooks come in packs of 10.
In addition, a wood moulding is an option to suit a more traditional decor. It fits over, and covers, the track. Wood moulding comes in 2 meter (6.5 ft.) lengths.
How strong is it? Recommended weight on one cable is 66 pounds. You may hang more than one picture on each cable hanger. Recommended weight on one hook is 44 pounds. Pictures up to 90 pounds can be supported with 2 hooks.
